Who we are

The app is built and run by Plug Software. In this policy, “we” means Plug Software and “you” means the merchant who installed the app.

What the app does

Merchants build size charts — tables of measurements, headings, notes, images and videos — and choose which products or collections show them. The app writes each chart to the relevant products as a Shopify metafield, and the theme extension renders it on the product page.

What we store

• Your shop’s address (for example your-store.myshopify.com) and the access token Shopify issues when you install the app, so the app can act on your behalf.
• The size charts you create: their titles, measurements, text, the links to any images or videos you add, and which products or collections they apply to. Product and collection names and ids are stored so your chart list is readable.
• Your appearance settings — colours, widths, fonts and any custom CSS — and which charts you’ve published.
• Basic account state, such as whether setup is finished and which plan your shop is on.
• Your store owner’s name and email addresses, as Shopify provides them, so we can send you a welcome email with setup tips after you install the app. We never share them or use them for advertising.

What we do not collect

• No shopper data. Nothing a visitor does on your storefront is sent to us. We do not see who opened a size chart.
• No customer, order or payment information. The app never requests those permissions.
• No tracking or advertising cookies. The only thing the storefront code remembers is whether a shopper last viewed a table in centimetres or inches, kept in their own browser and never sent anywhere.

The Shopify permissions we ask for

• Products — to attach a chart to the products and collections you choose, and to remove it again.
• Files — to upload the images and videos you add to a chart into your own Shopify Files, where they stay under your control.

We ask for nothing else. If a future feature needs another permission, Shopify will ask you to approve it before it takes effect.

Where your data is kept

Charts and settings are stored in our database, on servers we control, and reached only over encrypted connections. Images and videos you upload are stored in your own Shopify Files and served by Shopify’s CDN — not by us. Size charts published to products live in Shopify as metafields on those products.

Who else sees it

Nobody. We do not sell, rent or share your data, and we use no advertising or analytics services inside the app. The only third party involved is Shopify itself, and the hosting and database providers that run our servers on our instructions.

How long we keep it, and how to have it erased

• While the app is installed, we keep your charts and settings so they are there when you return.
• When you uninstall, we stop using your data straight away and delete the access token. Shopify then asks us to erase the shop 48 hours later, and at that point your charts, settings and shop record are deleted from our database for good.
• You can ask us to erase everything sooner, at any time, by emailing help.zainabfatima@gmail.com.

We also answer Shopify’s shopper data requests: because we hold no shopper data, there is nothing to hand over or erase.

Security

All traffic runs over HTTPS. The app signs into Shopify with short-lived session tokens rather than cookies, access tokens are stored server-side only, and every request from Shopify is verified before it is acted on.

Your rights

Depending on where you are, you may have the right to see, correct, export or erase the data we hold about you, or to object to how we use it. Email us and we will act on it within 30 days at the latest.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the app handles data, we will update this page and the date at the top. Meaningful changes are also announced in the app.
